How did I learn App Store Optimization? | Best App Marketing Resources

Hey App Marketers,
How's App Store Optimization coming out for you guys? I hope you guys are learning, experimenting, and earning a great deal.
Guys, today's post is going to be a bit different from others. It will totally be about the resources you can utilize to learn almost everything about App Store Optimization and become the best App Marketer in your class.
When I first started App Marketing, I did not have a clue of what it was and how to do it. In fact, the only "optimization" I had heard of till then was "Search Engine Optimization".

Even my company that I worked with did not have enough resources to hire an experienced App Marketer whom I could learn from and work with.
So I started all by myself, from the scratch. I started consuming books about App Store optimization, blogs on App marketing, podcasts and videos on App promotion and in less than a year, I was confident enough to compete with experienced App marketers.
So today, I am going to name some of the major resources that I have learned a lot from.
I want you to go through each of them so you can become confident, bold, and knowledgeable about what's happening in your industry and how to become an App Store Optimization Giant.
App Tweak | App Intelligence + App Store Optimization

App Tweak is straight-out my most favourite App Intelligence tool. I started using it in 2019 and since then I have never felt the need to opt-in for another tool--paid, that is.
Even though, I still use 2 to 3 other App Intelligence tools just to make sure. App Tweak, however, alone is enough to provide you with the power to compete in even the most saturated categories. Also, App Tweak has really awesome content related to App Store Optimization.
They have written 298 awesome blogs on App Marketing. Can you believe that? Straight out 298 blogs that are enough to give you the confidence you need to compete with the App Store Optimization giants.
App Tweak has divided its content into multiple categories. If you are ever to choose a paid marketing tool, I would suggest that you should opt-in for App Tweak. But that's not the discussion for now.
Coming back to our topic, App Tweak also organizes webinars to educate you about the best practices of App marketing. I try to keep up with the pace but recently, I have missed a lot of their webinars due to my really tough routine.
Still, they have an awesome support team. Especially, their member "Karan Lakhwani" (goes by the same name on Linked In) is an awesome guy who would go above and beyond to help you when setting up.
App Radar | App Store Optimization

Guys, if you haven't checked out the resources that App Radar offers on App Store Optimization--then you are missing a treasure of knowledge.
App Radar has worked a great deal to provide you with a whole App Marketing Short Course. Their App Academy consists of many blogs ranked from beginners to advanced.
They have covered everything from the basics of ASO to App UI, from Apple Search Ads to Marketing Your App on Social Media PPC campaigns.
They have basically revealed a lot about how you can work from scratch towards marketing your app and increasing your app's visibility in the App Store.
Note: For those who don't know, App Radar is an app intelligence tool. It has made a very strong reputation among App marketers.
It also offers a free plan for Indie Developers. However, the paid plans are the best if you are serious about promoting your app. Due to their free plan, App Radar is also one of my favourite tools to learn from.
Splitmetrics | Apple Search Ads

Splitmetrics is one of my favourite platforms to learn all about Apple Search Ads. They have covered everything there is related to Apple Search Ads.
In fact, before I joined my company, my senior manager used to run Search Ads without thinking much about how it really works. He would simply put keywords in there, enter a budget and hit "Go".
A major chunk of the budget would be eaten up by the "Broad Match" and "Search Match". I'm not against using a broad match or search match but when you are competing in a niche with fewer resources, you have got to be careful.
Firstly, you do not have to find that many keywords after a while. You get to know all the high traffic keywords.
But even if you still insist on running an ad campaign with Broad Match on, you have got to be careful about tracking the progress and adding the low performing keywords as negative keywords.
Being App Store Optimization experts, it is our job to help our company save budget on these campaigns while maximizing the outputs.
So, with Splitmetrics, you can enrol in their Search Ads Email course--which is free, of course--and get to know everything about creating to handling an Apple Search Ads campaign.
Apps Flyer | App Attribution

Then comes my next favourite. Apps Flyer is an analytics and attribution platform just like Branch, Adjust, and Kochava.
It helps you integrate an SDK in your app and then attribute your in-app actions via events to keep a track of each and every organic and paid install. It can prove to be really handy for an App Store Optimization Expert.
Other than the utility, it also offers a large number of blogs that can help you learn all about the benefits and uses of App Attribution, paid traffic, and how to track them efficiently.
Now that we are on the topic of App Attribution, I would also suggest that you check out "Adjust".
It also educates you via eBooks, blogs, and articles and is really good at what it does.
However, Adjust comes with a paid version only while Apps Flyer offers a free version where you can track up to 12,000 conversions.
Business of Apps | App Marketing News

If you ever need just one platform to learn everything about the App Business, you should opt-in for "Business of Apps".
It is a major source of what's happening in the App Industry, what trends are prevailing, and frankly, it has a lot of free resources to educate you about App marketing and App Store Optimization.
I think that I have read almost all the eBooks they have to offer. Their content is really high quality and I would encourage you to jump for it.
